VBS Needs your Help
VBS starts in two weeks (June 14-18) and we need YOUR help! We’re in need of donated items (see tags outside Susan Cutshall’s office) and volunteers. Please sign up to volunteer in the Connection Center or online at www.stlukeumc.org/vbs. Kids, ages 3 through finishing the 5th grade, are welcome to sign up for VBS.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
This new ministry knits and crochets beautiful prayer shawls for people who are experiencing either times of celebration or times of need. Want to pray and knit or crochet for this ministry? Know someone who would benefit from receiving a prayer shawl? Contact Sue Pixler at firstname.lastname@example.org or 307-321-2934.
Meet-and-Greet with Pastor and Staff
We are so blessed to have guests join us for Sunday morning worship. Pastor Mark and the staff are anxious to get to know new folks when they come. Those who are new to St. Luke are invited to join us for a Meet-and-Greet time between the 9:45 and 11:10 services and after the 11:10 service. This takes place in the Connection Center (in the Lobby between the Life Center and the Sanctuary/Children’s wing).
Help Us Update Our Prayer List
We love praying for people, but we would also like to keep the prayer list updated. Help us keep an updated prayer list by contacting the church office if you have a relative or friend in need of healing. Persons on the prayer lists will be automatically rotated out after one month unless the church has been notified otherwise.
If you or someone you know is home bound, in the hospital, sick or in a nursing home, please call the church office and let us know. We appreciate knowing when someone is in need of special care.
Go to Camp this Summer!
Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center invites you to Power Up! by attending their 2015 Summer Camps. To register for one of the exciting summer camp opportunities available for all ages or for more information, go to www.aldersgatecamp.org or call 606-723-5078. You can also ask Jeremy Arnold, Susan Cutshall, or the church office for more information. The Aldersgate Summer Staff will be here on June 7 for Camp Sunday. We will be taking up a love offering for the camp.
Did You Know St. Luke Supports Kentucky Refugee Ministries?
If you have clothing you would like to donate to the Kentucky Refugee Ministry, simply take your donations to Goodwill and tell the attendant at the drop-off that you want your donation credited to the Kentucky Refugee Ministry. Then, refugees working to establish lives in the U.S. will receive vouchers for free clothing. For families who are often coming from war-torn areas and have had to leave everything behind, this simple gift can be life-changing!
