Camp Sunday Offering

This Sunday, we welcome to St. Luke the Summer Staff of Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center.  Let’s all commit to pray for them daily as they carry forward this vital ministry of the church, touching the lives of children and youth.  In this past year, more than 80 young people from St. Luke participated in the ministries of Aldersgate Camp.   At last year’s session of the Kentucky Annual Conference, the decision was made to reduce the funding that has traditionally come through the Annual Conference for our Camps and Campus Ministries, as well as Urban Missions.   The hope is that every local church will step up and commit to help fund these ministries.   Today we want to give you the chance to support Aldersgate Camp.   If you can give a little bit extra this Sunday for the ministry of the camp, it will go a long way towards impacting the lives of young people, many from St. Luke.  Please be sure to indicate on your gift that it is for “Aldersgate Camp.”

Digging Deeper Sermon Discussion Group

This group will meet each Sunday evening this summer to encourage deeper reflection on sermon and to help participants apply the lessons to their daily walk.  This summer we will explore Pastor Mark’s “Sermons Around the Campfire” series, which will focus on some of Jesus’ parables. Nora Conner will facilitate the discussions on Sunday evenings from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in room 127 beginning June 14.
