Church History – Growing up at St. Luke
We are looking for history of adults who have roots here over the last 40 years. If you have 3 to 5 photos involving yourself or your child at church, including a current shot, please bring them, clearly dated and labeled, to the history box in the Resource Center.
Ongoing Needs of Nathaniel Mission Community
Thank you to all of you who donate travel size toiletries and individually wrapped snacks. There is a constant need for donations of large size t-shirts, clean socks, clean underwear, pants, and shoes. Frequent requests are for deodorant, razors, small shaving cream, and hand sanitizer. Donations of individually wrapped candies are a special treat! There is a basket in the Connection Center for your donations! If you feel led to join the team that rotates serving breakfast on the first Sunday of each month, 8:45am to 9:45am, contact Denise Ockerman at email@example.com.
Summer Worship Schedule
This summer, at St. Luke, we are trying something a little different. Our 11:10 service will start at 11:00 a.m. and will be a “Service of Word and Table” with a focus on preaching, teaching, and Holy Communion. Of course, we will continue to spend time in prayer and offering. You are encouraged to “come as you are” and bring family and friends for a great time of praise and worship. The 8:30 am and 9:45 am services will continue unchanged. Come and check it out at 11:00am in the Sanctuary.
Good Stewardship at St. Luke
At St. Luke, we want to be good stewards of creation and of promoting environmentally sustainable practices. We do recycle and have several recycling bins (Rosie’s) on site for you to recycle your paper products, aluminum cans, plastic bottles and jugs, and glass bottles. Remember, styrofoam is not recyclable and so we do not use styrofoam products of any kind here at the church. Please remember to use our paper cups and plates. These are supplied in both kitchens. Our God’s Pantry location can always use clean, grocery type plastic bags. No large bags, sandwich bags, or newspaper bags please. Bags can be left in the blue barrels or brought to the pantry when it is open.
DO YOU JUGGLE?
