We want to take time in worship on May 31 to recognize/honor our graduates. If you have loved ones who are graduating at (high school equivalent or above, please notify the church office by May 15. We would like to have a picture of each graduate that we can display on the screen during worship and the full details of their graduation to include in the bulletin.

Lexington District Conference

Pantry Help Needed
God’s Pantry is in serious need of able-bodied servants to serve as stocking volunteers, especially on Fridays. Working time is 10 a.m. until about 12:30. We have some days when we don’t have a lot of volunteers who are able to do heavy lifting and are in need of some who are willing and able to do so. Interested volunteers should contact Kathy Gendreau by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 421-1232.
Seniors Food Pantry Distribution
The Seniors Food Distribution will be on Monday, May 11, at 9:00 AM. We need help. Many of the regular team members are out of town. Please come out and help us sort, box, or carry out food for the needy. It will only take about two hours of your time. For more information, contact Stanley Durbin.
If you or someone you know is home bound, in the hospital, sick or in a nursing home, please call the church office and let us know. We appreciate knowing when someone is in need of special care.
UMCOR in Nepal
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is already on the ground in Nepal. Donations to support the response to the earthquake in Nepal and other international disasters can be made online through UMCOR Advance # 982450. Checks also can be made out to St. Luke. Just write UMCOR Advance #982450 on the memo line and put in the offering plate. 100% of your donations go directly to the designated program.
New Opportunity for First Time Guests
We have been blessed this year to welcome many first time guests to our Sunday Morning worship services. Pastor Mark and the staff are anxious to get to know folks when they come. Beginning next Sunday, there will be a Meet and Greet time between each of the morning services and after the 11:10 service. This will take place in the Connection Center (in the Lobby between the Life Center and the Sanctuary/Children’s wing). If you are new to the church and would like to take a moment to meet the pastor and other members of the staff, please make your way to the Connection Center. Please note that this will precipitate some changes as far as the pastor is concerned. Pastor Mark will not be doing the Welcome and Greeting times at the 9:45 and 11:10 service, and though he will continue to be at the rear door after each services to greet everyone, he will need to be intentional about getting to the Connection Center to greet our guests. Please be aware of these new demands on his time on Sunday morning.
