We want to take time in worship on May 22 to recognize/honor our graduates. If you have loved ones who are graduating at high school equivalent or above, please notify the church office by May 16. We would like to have a picture of each graduate that we can display on the screen during worship and the full details of their graduation to include in the bulletin.
Alms Fund Resumes Program
St. Luke’s Alms Fund is now taking applications from people in need. Applications will be accepted from non-church members in the 40517 zip code area between Tates Creek and Richmond Roads. Priority is given to those living closest to the church. In addition church members may recommend other individuals living in the Lexington area who do not live in this zip code area. The St. Luke member’s name must be written on the application form. No application forms will be accepted by fax or email. Persons seeking assistance must come in person to the church to receive and turn in the necessary forms, as well as meet with committee members. The Alms committee is always looking for church members who are interested in serving in this very special ministry!
Retirement and Appreciation Dinner for Paul Bramel
We would like to invite the St. Luke family to attend an Appreciation and Retirement Dinner for Paul Bramel on Friday, June 3 to thank him for his years of service and dedication to St. Luke. It is truly a joy to honor him. It will be held in the St. Luke Gymnasium starting at 6:00 pm. We will provide fried chicken and ask all those who attend to bring a side dish, salad, dessert etc. We would also like to be able to present him a gift card for a trip of his choice. If you would like to contribute, please bring your gift to Mark Walz or leave it in the basket that will be placed at the Connection Center. Hope to see you there to give Paul a wonderful retirement celebration!
Don’t miss out on the celebration! Get your St. Luke 40th anniversary commemorative items! T-shirts, stainless steel coffee tumblers, and insulated water tumblers, all with a special 40th anniversary logo, are now available in the Connection Center. Get yours today!
Help the Homeless
Life on the street is challenging. You can help our needy brothers and sisters by donating hotel size toiletries, gender neutral t-shirts, jeans, and sweats. Buy yourself some new socks and underwear and donate gently used items to those who don’t have a closet or dresser. Shoes in any condition are greatly appreciated. Bring your donations to the labeled basket at the Connection Center.
