Invite a Friend or Neighbor to Join us for Easter!

Pick up some cards from the lobby and invite a friend or neighbor to join us for our Easter Services on Sunday, March 27. The cards are also available for download on our website.

Holy Week Opportunities

During Holy Week, we will have several opportunities for you to come and prepare your hearts for Easter. Tonight, we are hosting the Bluegrass Opera and their free performance of “King of Glory” at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary (a love offering will be taken). On March 24, Maundy Thursday, we invite you to come to the Thursday Night Service of Darkness at 7:00 pm and on Good Friday, March 25,  from 12:00 pm- 6:00 pm the Sanctuary will be open for “come and go” communion and interactive journey through the Stations of the Cross. In addition to our regular Sunday services, we will also have an Easter Sunrise service at 7:00 am outside under the cross and flame.

Feed the Choir

Anyone wishing to bring refreshments for the choir Easter Sunday, may sign up at the Connection Center.

Easter Challenge: Egg-A-Neighbor!

We have some very special buckets prepared for you to take home and share with families in your neighborhood! Instructions for you are included!  These buckets will help our church share the true reason we celebrate Easter.  Eggs, activity books and a postcard invitation are all with the bucket. Take one, take two or more and impact your neighborhood in a wonderful way!  Buckets are available through today at the Connection Center.  If you’d like to “Egg” the families of Kids Café and Wednesday.comm children, names and addresses will also be at the Connection Center.

Flowers for Easter Sunday Cross

Everyone is invited to bring fresh flowers to place on the cross as you come to worship next week.  The Floral Cross will be placed near door number one.

Reminder: Hospitality Begins in the Parking Lot

St. Luke’s parking lot is one of the first things that a guest sees and experiences when visiting our church for the first time.  So not only is it important to provide enough spaces, it is important to designate guest spaces near the main entry of the building. Those who can park away from the main entrances next week for Easter Sunday are encouraged to show hospitality in this way.

Update Your Membership Information

Does our church database have your family membership record correct? Have you changed  your phone number, email, or have you moved? Now is your chance to update your record for our annual Guide Book & Directory. Please let the church office know about changes to your record so that the information in the 2016 Guide Book and Directory is correct. Our number is 859-269-4687 or email at office@stlukeumc.org.

Help Gather St. Luke History

We are gathering photos and stories from the last 40 years to be displayed during St. Luke’s 40th Birthday Celebration. Please go through your photographic memories that involve our church. Bring them, with descriptions and stories, to the Resource Room, behind the Connection Center, and leave them in the designated basket. Let’s share our past. Any questions? Contact Denise Ockerman 494-1482.
