Feed the Choir
Our choir and instrumentalists will present a wonderful Christmas Music Sunday Celebration at all three morning services on Sunday, December 13, arriving for warm up before 8:00 a.m. Sign up at the Connection Center if you would like to provide a plate of “revival food” for our faithful musicians. Food may be brought to the choir room as early as possible that Sunday.
Exciting changes are coming in our Alms ministry. Watch for more details in the next few weeks.
Christmas Gifts for the Homeless

Extra Christmas Decorations?
St. Luke is joyfully accepting Christmas decorations for God’s Pantry recipients. Please consider donating new or gently-used items to brighten up others homes during the holidays. Donations can be left at the table outside the door of God’s Pantry starting today.
Volunteer to Light the Advent Wreath
As is our custom, we will be having families and individuals light the candles of the Advent Wreath during each morning service on Dec. 13, Dec. 20 as well as the two services on Christmas Eve. The church will provide you with the ritual for each service. If you and/or your family would like to be a very special part of our Advent/Christmas Worship please sign up in the Connection Center, contact the church office, Pastor Mark or Will Solomon.
In St. Luke tradition, we have names and gift suggestions for children involved in our outreach ministries. We will provide each child with a clothing item and a toy. Each family will get a gift certificate for a holiday meal. Come to the Connection Center for more information. All gifts must be brought to church by December 20 for distribution that day.
Baking for Those Serving on Christmas
Attention all you great bakers. Plan to make some extra cookies for delivery to service personnel this Christmas Eve and Day. We will collect as many cookies as possible, sort them into boxes on Christmas Eve morning, and deliver them to those on duty while most people are relaxing with family and friends. Start baking and freezing right now! Sign up at the Connection Center so we will get an estimate on quantity to deliver.
Hope, Faith and Love in Action
The Sarah Circle of the St. Luke United Methodist Women will meet on Friday, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. for a Christmas lunch. You are invited to join us. Chairwoman, Elaine Ketterer (859-309-1086 or 859-492-0776).
We are in the planning stage for the church’s ministries in 2016 and the ministry focused budget. We need your help. How is God leading you to support the ministries of the church? Please be in prayer and as you are ready between now and the end of the year return the enclosed pledge card to the church in an envelope marked to the attention of Paul Bramel.
