Christmas Eve Candlelight Services
Join us for one of our two annual Christmas Eve Candlelight services as we celebrate the birth of our Savior. The service times are 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and take place in the Sanctuary. Bring the whole family and invite a friend to this very special service you won’t want to miss!
Church Office Holiday Hours
Please note that the church office will be closing at noon on December 24, and will reopen on Monday morning, December 28. It will also be closed on December 31 and January 1. Due to the shortened week, items for the bulletin on December 27 need to be in tomorrow morning. Items for the bulletin on January 3 will need to be in on Monday morning December 28.
Sunday we bring our gifts for families served by Nathaniel Mission and ministries of St. Luke forward and place them on the altar. They will be distributed Sunday afternoon. If you have not brought the gift you have committed to, please notify an usher that you will be bringing it to church immediately after service today (before 12:45 pm). Otherwise, you will need to deliver it directly to the appropriate family.
Reminder: Hospitality Begins in the Parking Lot
St. Luke’s parking lot is one of the first things that a guest sees and experiences when visiting our church for the first time. So, not only is it important to provide enough spaces, it is important to leave spaces for our guests near the main entry of the building. Those who can park away from the main entrances are encouraged to show hospitality in this way.
100% of your designated Christmas offering is going to provide supplies to build a school in a rural community in Nicaragua. Contributions to the Christmas offering must either be in a Christmas envelope or you need to note “Christmas Offering” in the memo section of your check.
With the end of the year fast approaching, please consider your year-end giving to the 2015 Ministry Budget. Due to the sizable deficit in this fund, we need your year-end gifts more than ever! We also need to finish the year strong so we enter 2016 with momentum! Pledge cards for 2016 are available at the Connection and Welcome Centers. To be eligible to be claimed as tax deductions for 2015, all donations must be received or postmarked by December 31, 2015.
Bring Your Christmas Cookies Thank you to those of you who have volunteered to provide cookies for first responders and those in service Christmas Eve and Day. Please place cookies in the kitchen off the Fellowship Hall before 12/24. Sign up to sort cookies on Wednesday, 12/24, at 10:00 in Fellowship Hall. This is a great activity for supervised children! Those who want to deliver need to sign up at the Connection Center. You will be called with your delivery assignments. More Questions? Contact Denise Ockerman at 494-1482.
