Dear St. Luke UMC,
The 34th annual Kentucky United Methodist Homes for Children & Youth (KyUMH) golf tournament will be held on Friday, September 16th.
In order for this event to be completely successful we need to have at least 224 golfers to participate. If each church in the Lexington District could send to us at least one team, of four golfers, we would be well on our way to meet that goal. Shot-gun starts are set for 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and the event will be held at The Brook Golf Club in Versailles (directly adjacent to the KyUMH facilities).
This year we are pleased to announce that Outback Steakhouse will be catering lunch for each participant. Sutherland Chevrolet is offering a new car for the first golfer that makes a hole-in-one on a designated par three hole. One golfer in the morning and one golfer in the evening will be able to putt for a $5,000 cash prize. Also, there will be various prizes offered and a new format for scoring with additional prizes being given away to more golfers than in the past.
In addition, sponsors are being requested. Any type of donation toward the sponsorship of this tournament would be greatly appreciated. 100% of what you would give will go to directly aid children under our care at KyUMH. The actual tournament related costs for this event are being underwritten by area businesses.
You can register online at: http://www.kyumh.org/Golf_Versailles.html.
This is one of the major fundraisers here at KyUMH. Your desire to aid us in this endeavor will be much appreciated by so many individuals.
May God continue to richly bless you.
