Scripture Readers for Good Friday
Have you heard the news? Something new is happening at St. Luke during Holy Week! We will be having an evening Good Friday Service, which will be a full Tenebrae service, with 15 scripture readings and songs. If you are interested in participating by reading a scripture passage at the service on Friday, April 10 at 6:30 pm go to stlukeumc.org/gf20.
Blue Barrel Sunday
This Sunday is Blue Barrel Sunday but we know you can’t be here! We will accept your donations if you bring them at any time Monday – Friday, 8:30-4:30pm. This month, we are asking for soup of all kinds! Keep in mind that cream soups like cream of chicken and cream of mushroom, are great for making casseroles.

Palm Sunday Celebration!
Palm Sunday is the day that we celebrate the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. In the Bible, many shout praises of “Hosanna”, waved palm branches, and laid their coats down on the road as Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey as a sign of praise. We want to continue to lift our shouts of praise and worship in a celebratory atmosphere.
This year at St. Luke, we will celebrate with a church wide party in the parking lot after the morning services. There will be fellowship, food, activities, a petting zoo, and more! Come and celebrate Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week with your St. Luke family!
Kentucky and Tennessee Disaster Relief
We are assembling more cleaning buckets to send to UMCOR for Tennessee and KY Disaster Relief as soon as possible. We need supplies and funds to purchase supplies. Put “St. Luke-UMCOR” in the memo line when you donate online. Contact our Team Leader, Allen Porter (606-375-2753) for more information.
St. Luke Connect
Are you new to St. Luke? Want to find out more about what we value, our ministries, and more about the church? Our Senior Pastor, Brian Ebel, would love to meet you on Wednesday, March 25 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. (this is tentative depending on the ever-changing COVID-19 situation). This is an opportunity for newer people to St. Luke that want to find out more to connect, join the church, be baptized or ask questions.
