At Join Our New Study, “Jesus: The God Who Knows Your Name”

The God of the universe knows your name. He has walked your streets. Jesus. Perhaps you’ve heard about him, studied him, or prayed to him. But do you know him? By exploring the life and character of Jesus, this compilation from Max Lucado gives you the chance to become more familiar with the man at the center of the greatest story ever told. Join the Keenagers Sunday School class in this study beginning January 26 at 9:30am.

Join us in Our Study

The Women at the Well Sunday School class will start a new study, God of Covenant by Jen Wilken, on January 26.  This ten-week study will cover Genesis 12 through 50, and will have video lessons, discussion and a workbook. We meet in room 110 at 9:30am on Sundays and invite anyone interested to join us! For workbooks or more info, contact John Duff, Sherri Reed (, or Marcie Barnett (806-7756).

Shifts in Discipleship at St. Luke

Our St. Luke Leadership Teams have evaluated our Wednesday night ministry, and we have discovered what you probably already knew: people’s time, needs, and schedules have shifted. In recognition of this, and in order to be the best stewards possible of our resources, we are making two significant changes to Wednesday nights at St. Luke:

One is that our team has discerned that it is time to shift our focus from offering many different classes to offering fewer adult classes but with more focused areas of study. The classes we will offer are the ones we think are a high priority for folks at St. Luke to take, and we believe they are top-notch curricula. Our youth and children’s programming will continue as they have in the past, but this spring we will offer two adult classes. The other change is that because we have had fewer St. Luke folks participating in our meal, we will not be offering a meal on Wednesday nights this spring. We know this decision will impact some people both with St. Luke as well as our God’s Pantry guests; trust that we will be discerning what this area of ministry might look like in the future.

Wednesday nights at St. Luke will begin on February 5 and will run up until Easter. Stay tuned for more information on our classes. We look forward to what God has in store for us as we unashamedly pursue Jesus Christ together! Questions? Please contact John Duff,, 859-269-4687.
