In addition, there will be “Wellness Check” stations for blood pressure, etc. Be sure to get a handout to maintain your health history. There will be a few health information tables.
Looking for persons to teach checkers to a few Tuesday Kids’ Cafe children. You would work with one child at a time. Contact: Sue Lord, 797-1586.
Pastor/Staff Appreciation Month
Although we appreciate our pastors and staff all year long, October is designated as Pastor and Staff Appreciation month by the United Methodist Church. Please join us in celebrating our Pastors and Staff by expressing our love, appreciation for their dedicated service, and just simple words of encouragement. Baskets will be placed in the Connection and Welcome Centers during the next couple weeks for you to leave cards, letters, notes of appreciation etc. Many of the Staff also enjoy receiving gift cards, candy (especially chocolate) and other special gifts. Use your imagination to show our St. Luke Pastors and Staff how much we appreciate what they do for us all year long. Thank you, SPRC

Uncommon Decency • St. Luke has a new Sunday School opportunity at 11:00! Pastor Mike Powers will be doing a 6-week study starting on November 4th and running through December 9th in room 128. The study will be entitled: Uncommon Decency: Christian Civility in an Uncivil World, based on the book by Richard Mouw. This is a great opportunity to talk about hot-topic issues and how Christians can react with civility and love amidst a culture driven by fear, hatred and bitterness. Join us after the 9:30 service as we learn to discuss with love and understanding!
Blue Barrel Sunday • Today is Blue Barrel Sunday! Please place your blue bags, filled with a variety of canned meat protein items near or in one of the blue barrels. Remember if you forget, you can drop off your contributions throughout the month.
