Join the Choir

Join Our Study, “Twelve Extraordinary Women: How God Shaped Women of the Bible and What He Wants To Do with You”
Celebrated for their courage, vision, hospitality, and spiritual giftedness, it’s no wonder women were so important to God’s plan revealed in the Old and New Testaments. These women were not ancillary to His plan, they were at the very heart of it. Please join the Awake At Aldersgate Sunday School Class in this study and learn the amazing stories of these women. Each chapter is a stand-alone lesson so join us at anytime! Awake At Aldersgate meets in room 127 at 8:30am.
St Luke Golfers!
We are planning a golf trip to Alabama to play the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. We plan to leave Lexington March 11 and return March 14. Genesis Sunday School
Is your New Year’s Resolution to strengthen your walk with Jesus? Then the Genesis Sunday School Class would like to invite you to join them as they begin a new study from Adam Hamilton entitled, “The Way: Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus.” This 6-week video series retraces the ministry of Jesus through the Holy Lands. Please join us today in room 126. at 9:30 am.
Clean Plastic Grocery Bags Needed
We are out of clean grocery bags for the pantry. These are used to help our clients shop. We were recently given the ok that we could use recycled clean grocery bags. If you have some and could drop off, just place them in the Blue Barrels or at the pantry.
Discipleship Resource for January
The Discipleship Resource for January is the, “Your Future Self Will Thank You,” Podcast with Drew Dyck and Jeremy Slager. Check out the video here: (put url here or social media link). “Your Future Self Will Thank You” is also a book by Drew Dyck.
Volunteer at God’s Pantry
We have several openings for volunteers. Most critical needs are for stockers on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and also to serve clients on Wednesday night from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
At Join Our New Study, “Jesus: The God Who Knows Your Name”
The God of the universe knows your name. He has walked your streets. Jesus. Perhaps you’ve heard about him, studied him, or prayed to him. But do you know him? By exploring the life and character of Jesus, this compilation from Max Lucado gives you the chance to become more familiar with the man at the center of the greatest story ever told. Join the Keenagers Sunday School class in this study beginning January 26 at 9:30am.
Join us in Our Study
The Women at the Well Sunday School class will start a new study, God of Covenant by Jen Wilken, on January 26. This ten-week study will cover Genesis 12 through 50, and will have video lessons, discussion and a workbook. We meet in room 110 at 9:30am on Sundays and invite anyone interested to join us! Updates to the St. Luke Line Newsletter
In order to communicate more effectively and to best utilize our resources at St. Luke, beginning in January 2020 we will convert the monthly newsletter to a seasonal newsletter. We will have seven newsletters a year. The first one will be due January 10 and will be released January 24 and will cover content through March. The following newsletters in 2020 will be in April for Easter/Lent, May/June, July/August, September, October/November, and December/Advent.
