Wednesday.comm Meal and Classes • Our meal for Wednesday, January 31, is prepared and served by the staff of Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center. All proceeds will go to support the camp. Meal: Baked Spaghetti, Green Beans, Cheesy Bread,  Blueberry Cake, and Salad Meals are $5 per plate (sharing is allowed, max. $15 per family) and  will be served from 5:15 – 6:30 p.m.


New Covenant Groups At St. Luke

To all who wish to grow closer to Jesus: come out on Tuesday, January 30 at 6:30 p.m. in Room 128 as we gather to discuss the starting of new small groups at St. Luke.  All who are interested in being a part of a group are welcome to join us we discuss what it means to be a part of a Covenant Group.  These Covenant Groups are patterned after the Wesleyan Model of small group and are a way to grow closer to Christ individually and corporately. If you would like more information, pick up our Covenant Group Brochure outside the Welcome or Connection Center, or talk to our Director of Adult Discipleship, John Duff.


Bible Reading Plans!

St. Luke has new Bible reading plans for 2018 outside the Welcome and Connection Center! It is also available on the website here.  We have one to help if you would like to read the bible in a year, and one for those who need a lighter load.  Take a look and see how you might learn and grow closer to the Lord through your study of scripture this year!


Stewardship Commitment in 2018

As you reflect and plan for this new year, we invite you to also pray about your financial commitment to St. Luke.  Your contributions are a form of discipleship throughout the year; they are a part of the lifestyle of a disciple.  For those who would like to make a written commitment of your pledge to St. Luke, there are forms at the Welcome Center and Connection Center.  You may keep the form for your own records, or you may return it to the church, attention Nora Conner.  


Too Busy Not To Pray • Need encouragement in your prayer life? Ready to take an intentional step in the new year? You are invited to a four-week study on prayer facilitated by Chuck and Sue Lord using Bill Hybels’ “Too Busy Not To Pray” book and video series on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:00 beginning Sunday, February 11 (four-week class). Financial Peace University Start Date Rescheduled

You are encouraged to join us for this life-changing course by Dave Ramsey which begins on February 11.  This spring we are offering Financial Peace University on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:00 p.m. beginning February 11, facilitated by Chris Bacon.  This class is for everyone and will help you gain a sound Christian perspective on a wide range of financial topics.  There is a cost for materials, but assistance is available if needed.  Childcare available upon request.  Sign up in the Connection Center, or contact Nora Conner at 859-269-4687 or


St. Luke 101 • You are invited to join us for St. Luke 101, a five-week class designed especially for those interested in learning more about basic Christian beliefs, distinctive Methodist history and doctrines, and the particular ways St. Luke UMC is engaged in the mission of Jesus Christ in the Lexington community, across the state of Kentucky and around the world.  Long-time members, new members, persons who are considering membership, and those who simply want to learn more about St. Luke will find this class very helpful and enjoyable.
