This Saturday, March 21, 2-4 p.m.
We have a wonderful opportunity to tell children and their families from our community that Easter is more than bunnies, chicks and eggs! We will share the gospel during our annual Easter EggStravaganza this Saturday from 2-4 p.m. in various fun, engaging and memorable ways. To do this we are seeking people to serve that day! No planning! We will provide everything you need. Check out the bulletin board in the Connection Center and sign up to serve! We also need donations of individually wrapped candy- no nuts, please. These can be dropped off outside Susan’s office.
Want to Know More About St. Luke?
New to St. Luke or been attending for awhile and want to know more about the mission and ministries of the church? Plan to join us for the St. Luke 101 class beginning this Wednesday, March 18 during Wednesday.comm. In addition to exploring the ministries of St. Luke, the group will be looking at some of the history and beliefs that are unique to the United Methodist Church. We’ll also take a behind-the-scenes look at some of the ministries of St. Luke. Though the class will primarily be geared towards those who are new to St. Luke, anyone who wants to join us on the discussion is welcome. Please sign up by emailing (firstname.lastname@example.org) or calling (267-4687) the church office. Or you can sign upon Pastor Mark’s office door or on the registration card during worship. If you have any questions, speak with Pastor Mark or email him at email@example.com.
Feed the Choir
Anyone wishing to bring refreshments for the choir Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday, may sign up at the Connection Center.
Did You Know St. Luke Supports Kentucky Refugee Ministries?
If you have clothing you would like to donate to the Kentucky Refugee Ministry, simply take your donations to Goodwill and tell the attendant at the drop-off that you want your donation credited to the Kentucky Refugee Ministry. Then, refugees working to establish lives in the U.S. will receive vouchers for free clothing. For families who are often coming from war-torn areas and have had to leave everything behind, this simple gift can be life-changing!
United Methodist Mountain Mission
The Mountain Mission is in great need of clothes (including underwear and socks) and shoes for children and men (as well as men’s clothing). They are also in need of scrubs uniforms, dishes, pots, pans, small appliances, rubberbands, safety pins, hand soap, toilet paper, furniture polish, and garbage bags. Please drop off donated items to the Resource Room (just past the Connection Center) before April 6.
