January Newsletter Deadline is tomorrow.
Church Charge Conference has been postponed until after the first of the year.
Give Gifts this Christmas
This is the last Sunday to select names and gift ideas for needy families served by Nathaniel Mission and programs in our church. We still have lots of names left. Please come to the Connection Center, select names, and sign up to help sort and distribute gifts to families on December 21. If you need to bring your gift before the 21st, be sure to give it to an usher or Connection Center volunteer so it can be secured. Thank you for your support of this ministry. Contact Denise Ockerman for more, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sign up to bake, pack, and deliver cookies for first responders and service providers working on Christmas Eve and Day. We will pack at 10:00 on the 24th. This is a family friendly activity. Contact Denise Ockerman for more, email@example.com.
St. Luke Ornaments
The United Methodist Women are selling St. Luke ornaments today for $10 in the Connection Center. Proceeds from these beautiful brass ornaments support the UMW’s projects for women and children and make great gifts!
Reminder: Hospitality Begins in the Parking Lot
St. Luke’s parking lot is one of the first things that a guest sees and experiences when visiting our church for the first time. So not only is it important to provide enough spaces, it is important to designate guest spaces near the main entry of the building. Those who can park away from the main entrances are encouraged to show hospitality in this way.
Extra Christmas Decorations?
St. Luke is joyfully accepting Christmas decorations for God’s Pantry recipients. Please consider donating new or gently-used items to brighten up others homes during the holidays. Donations can be left at the table outside the door of God’s Pantry

Afternoon Concert at St. Luke
Dawn Brodersen would like to invite the St. Luke community to attend a concert of Christmas and sacred music by Les Jongleurs, a premiere choral ensemble, at St. Luke on this evening at 7 p.m. The gospel quartet Spoken-4 and The Overtones barbershop quartet will also perform. The concert is free, but the group will collect a love offering for the chorus. Join us for this wonderful evening of music!
More Yarn Needed
Our knitting and crocheting group is in need of yarn donations again. Thank you for your donations in the past! The groups meets on a regular basis and makes many things to donate to people in need. Please drop off donations at the Connection Center. Also, if you would like to knit or crochet items for people in need but can not meet with the group on Wednesday evenings, feel free to make items on your own time and bring them to the church.
Brand New Church Website!
Last week, we launched a new website that has been completely redesigned and reprogrammed from the ground up (and in-house too). On this website you can find new high-quality ministry and church information pages, weekly sermons in audio and written form, a calendar of events, social media integration, contact forms, staff contact information, monthly newsletters, weekly announcements, infoline email sign up, the pictorial directory (with password), worship service information, pictures, videos, and much more. It is ww.stlukeumc.org. Questions? Ask Mark Walz at firstname.lastname@example.org
