Spring 2018 - Adult Classes and Groups
The Perfect Church: A Bible Study on First Corinthians
The Perfect Church: A Bible Study on First Corinthians 6:00-7:00 Facilitated by Lindsey Davis We know better. We should be able to do the right thing. But often, we go against our better judgment and give in. The Corinthian Christians were no different. They made mistakes. Their list of sins is long and ugly, much like ours. But Paul had patience with the Corinthians. He saw hope for them. His letter confronts them and shows them how to lead a pure life. His life to the Corinthians encourages all of us who need a spiritual check-up. Come join us as we explore the dynamics and dysfunctions of the Christian faith community in Corinth which sheds light on how we live together in Christ today. We will use a study guide written by Max Lucado.

Wednesday evenings are a great way to get connected at St. Luke. Each Wednesday evening starts with a time of fellowship over dinner. Following the meal there are classes and activities for children, youth, and adults.
What is Wednesday.comm?
This is our Wednesday evening format, and it’s for everyone! We have planned an exciting range of class styles and topics.
When is Wednesday.comm?
Well, Wednesdays of course! Adult groups will meet between 6 and 8 pm. Some classes will meet for one hour starting at 6 pm, some will start at 6:30 or 7 pm, and some may even run the whole two hours. Children’s programming will be 6-7 pm with childcare available 7-8:30 pm. Youth Bible Study is from 6-7:30 pm.
Do you attend a worship service on Sunday but feel like you could be doing more to grow spiritually? When you come to church, do you see faces you recognize, but feel like you don’t really know many people or haven’t really connected with anyone? Wednesday.comm is a chance for the people of St. Luke to gather in small groups and learn how to be more like Christ. This is a great opportunity for relationship-building and discipleship!
Food and fellowship are important parts of community night at St. Luke. Meals will be prepared by groups within our church to raise money for a project or mission of their choice. Weekly meals are $5 per plate ($15 max per family, sharing allowed if you wish) and will be served from 5:15 -6:30 p.m. in the Gym. Watch the bulletin each week for information about the group preparing the meal and the menu. We are excited to offer a wide range of classes. If you plan on taking a class, please contact the facilitator or sign up in the Connection Center. We ask that participants cover the cost of their books if possible. If financial assistance is needed, please contact the facilitator or John Duff at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What about kids or youth?
We have classes for kids and youth, too! For kids from Kindergarten through 5th grade, we will be teaching them “13 Very Cool Stories and Why Jesus Told Them” from 6:00 -7:00 pm. The youth group (6th-12th) will be having a Bible study in the youth room.
