It’s the day that changed everything. Easter is the reason that we worship on Sundays rather than Saturdays, the first day of the week rather than the seventh.
This is the day that changed everything. Because of this day, our worship life is reoriented toward the rising of the sun, rather than the setting.
Resurrection Day is a day of light and color, singing and laughter. It is a loud day and a day for running or at least moving with a lighter step.
And while we can’t be together tomorrow, that doesn’t change the fact that God never changes. It is a day to lift high the cross, to rejoice in a tomb that is empty, and to glorify that son who is STILL risen!
And as Methodist, as Christians, every Sunday is a little Easter, so let this Easter Sunday be the day that sets the tone for the rest of the year and the rest of your life as the people of God.
We invite you to gather your family around your TV, computer, phone, or any screen and worship the risen Lord with your St. Luke Family at 9:30am this Easter Sunday – the day that changed everything.
TL;DR (too long! Didn’t read!)
