This event will take place on Tuesday, June 26, 1-4pm in Cordelia A & B (Located in the Cafeteria) of Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore. This event is open to lay and clergy. This is an incredible opportunity for our district and conference to provide input on the revisions that are being made to our denominations social principles.

Christmas Is Coming

Imagine celebrating Christmas without all of the secular trappings that the world adds to our traditional Advent and Christmas observances in December.  Imagine Christmas without rushing from party to party, and program to program. Imagine Christmas without gifts. Without Santa Claus. Without the Christmas tree.  Without the decorations and the Christmas songs playing in every store and restaurant and every other ad on TV touting gifts that most of us can’t afford to give. Imagine Christmas that just focuses on the manger and the coming of a Savior and what that means to you every day of the year.  You are invited to join us beginning Sunday, July 1 for Christmas Unplugged, reflections on the true meaning of Jesus’ birth without all the worldly distractions. Sundays in July at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00.

Wednesday Night Summer Classes Have Started • It’s not too late to join in one of these two classes on Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm during the month of June:  Life Together (by Dietrich Bonhoeffer), a four week exploration of Christian community led by Mike Powers in Room 127. The Heart of the Gospel of John, a four week exploration of John’s account of Jesus’ life, led by Jim Eastburn in Room 128.  Come join us as we grow deeper in our love for God and one another through study and fellowship!
