Photos Needed for Mother’s Day Memorial • On Mother’s Day, May 14, we will be having a special memorial recognition during our morning services to remember the mothers in and of our congregation who have passed away over the course of the last year. If you would like to participate in this, please send us a photo of your mother, along with her name, your name (if you wish), and the date of her birth and death. Email this to mwalz@stlukeumc.org by May 8.

Does our church database have your family membership record correct? Have you changed  your phone number, email, or have you moved? Now is your chance to update your record for our annual Guide Book & Directory. Sole Hope Shoe Packing Party Sunday, May 21 • 5:00-7:30 p.m.

St. Luke’s Children Ministry and SLUMY are teaming up to host a Shoe Cutting Party to make shoes for Sole Hope,  an organization that was founded to help those in countries in Africa without shoes. It will be paired with our Family Gym night. All are welcomed to participate in this incredible experience!  Questions? Email Susan at scutshall@stlukeumc.org.

 

Clean Grocery Bags Needed for God’s Pantry • The pantry is in need of clean, used plastic grocery bags. If you have some that you can donate, please bring them and place them in the blue barrels or they can be dropped off at the pantry.

 

Technology Volunteers • Do you have a passion for worship and enjoy technology? If so, we might have a ministry need that would be an ideal fit for you. We are looking for a few members to run the computer (for the projection system) during the three services on a Sunday morning during the summer, approximately one Sunday per month, from late May – mid August. Training will be provided. If you would like to volunteer, or have questions, please contact: Mariann Reinke, worship director, by email at mreinke@stlukeumc.org or call 419-494-3335.

 

Weekday Childcare Help Needed  • The ESL class is looking for a few volunteer helpers to assist with childcare for 3-4 school- aged children on Wednesdays  (1-2:30pm) May 24th and May 31st and a few Wednesdays in July (to be determined). If you could help, please contact Susan Cutshall, Janet Garrison or Marcie Barnett.

 

Hope, Faith, Love in Action • Sarah Circle Meeting • Sarah Circle will meet this Thursday,  May 11. The meeting starts at 10:30 a.m. and is in Room 4 off Fellowship Hall. Youth Sunday • In two weeks, on May 21, the youth group will be leading the morning Sanctuary services as Youth Sunday. Any youth who would like to be involved, please contact Jeremy Arnold at jarnold@stlukeumc.org.

 

Attention Graduates! • We want to take time in worship on Sunday, May 21 to recognize and honor our graduates. If you have loved ones who are graduating at high school equivalent or above, please notify the church office by Monday, May 15. We would like to have a picture of each graduate that we can display on the screen during worship and the full details of their graduation to include in the bulletin.
