Sole Hope Shoe Packing Party • TONIGHT • 5:00-7:30 p.m.
St. Luke’s Children Ministry and SLUMY are teaming up to host a Shoe Cutting Party to make shoes for Sole Hope. It will be paired with our Family Gym night. All are welcome to participate in this incredible experience! For each pair of shoes we cut out, we are to send $10 to cover the cost of additional materials, shoemakers and tailors. Please consider making a donation to help cover those costs. On your check’s memo line, indicate “Sole Hope” Questions? Email Susan at email@example.com.

Will You Help? • On Tuesday, June 13, there will be an afternoon of service and learning at the Kentucky Annual Conference. One of the opportunities to serve will be putting together health kits for the United Methodist Committee On Relief (UMCOR). The goal is 2000 kits! Churches throughout Kentucky are invited to donate various items to fill the kits. Those in the Lexington District are asked to bring large and sturdy combs, not pocket sized combs. There will be a box in the Connection Center to collect the combs. Thanks for your help!
Photos Needed for Father’s Day Memorial • On Father’s Day, June 18, we will be having a special memorial recognition during our morning services to remember the fathers in and of our congregation who have passed away over the course of the last year. If you would like to participate in this, please send us a photo of your father, along with his name, your name (if you wish), and the date of his birth and death. Email this to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, June 12.
Father’s Day Women’s Ensemble • Calling on gals who had a father, or think their husband is a great Dad, and would like to honor him by singing in a women’s ensemble on June 16, Father’s Day! Contact Mariann Reinke for rehearsal schedule (email: email@example.com, phone 419-494-3335), or check the bulletin for rehearsal dates. This would be a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend who loves to sing!
Worship Music Sunday • On June 11 we are going to highlight the music ministry during the morning worship services. We want to have a time when we sing some of our favorite hymns and praise songs. We are looking for two or three persons in each of the three services who will share with us their favorite hymn/worship song and a brief word (2 or 3 minutes) about why that hymn/song speaks to you so powerfully. If you would be willing, please let Marianne Reinke, Will Solomon, Mark Walz or Mark Girard know ASAP.
